"Advances in Medical Research" (AMR) does not allow for significant or major revisions to manuscripts after they have been accepted. We expect authors to complete any major revisions during the review and acceptance stage of the manuscript.

Correction of Published Works

Honest mistakes are an inevitable part of the scientific and publishing process. Once an error is discovered, a correction statement needs to be issued. We hope that authors will inform the production editors of the journal (contact information can be found in the "Contact Us" section of the journal website) of any factual errors they discover (or are informed) after the article is published. The journal has the right to decide whether to make the correction at its discretion.

As publishers, we have the responsibility to maintain the integrity of the scientific record. Therefore, to prevent subsequent inconsistencies, for minor modifications that do not affect the scientific understanding of the paper (such as formatting or spelling errors, or preference in wording), if submitted after publication, we may refuse.

The correction procedure depends on the stage of publication of the article, but in all cases, a correction statement will be issued as soon as possible:

Online Priority Release

The online priority version (or "published before the print version") is regarded as the final version and no modifications are allowed before the print version is published. AMR will consider replacing this version with an updated one, and the updated version will correct errors and indicate the changes made as well as the date of the changes (in the correction statement at the end of the article). The previous electronic version will prominently indicate that there is an updated version of the article.

Published in a Certain Issue of a Magazine

The online version of the article will link to the correction statement.

Continuously Published Journals

The correction statement will be published online and linked to the original text.

For errors in articles published in journals or continuously published journals, AMR editors may consider online correcting the original text (in XML and PDF formats). We will add a correction statement at the end of the article, indicating the changes made since the first publication, and publish a correction table.

Correction notifications are included in the index and linked to the original records in Medline and Web of Science.

Retraction

Journal editors will consider retracting a paper if they find that the data or research results are unreliable, plagiarized, duplicated, or involve unethical research. If the article is under investigation, we may consider issuing a statement of concern. All retraction statements will explain the reasons for the retraction of the article. The retraction process depends on the stage of publication of the article:

Online Priority Release

We will release a new version of the article containing only metadata. The original text will be replaced by a retraction statement. The retraction statement will also be published in the next print edition of the journal. The original text can still be accessed.
