Recent advances in the study of Brittle cornea syndrome

ABSTRACT

Brittle cornea syndrome (BCS) is a rare autosomal recessive multisystem connective tissue disorder. It is characterized by severe corneal thinning, blindness resulting from corneal perforation, high myopia, blue sclera, mixed etiological deafness，high eardrum compliance deafness and skeletal dysplasia. The purpose of this review is to explore the complexity of the disease and the latest treatment options.
