ABSTRACT

This paper focuses on the in-depth integration of intelligent technologies and medicine. It first defines the core concepts of intelligent medicine and intelligent technologies, clarifying that intelligent technologies--characterized as a “technology cluster” at the core of the Fourth Technological Revolution--encompass key technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, virtual reality (VR), and 5G. Special emphasis is placed on mapping the evolutionary trajectory of AI, from machine learning to intelligent agents. Subsequently, the paper systematically reviews the developmental phases of intelligent technologies in medical applications, and conducts an in-depth analysis of their specific implementation forms and practical value across core scenarios including clinical diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, medical education, and healthcare management — highlighting the application effectiveness of each AI subfield. Finally, it summarizes the current challenges in application and forecasts future development trends, aiming to provide a theoretical reference for promoting the standardized and high-quality development of intelligent medicine, and to offer insights for related research and clinical practice.
