ABSTRACT
This study explored vitamin D's effect on oleic acid-induced lipid accumulation in HepG2 cells. Compared with the oleic acid group, TG and TC levels rose significantly in the oleic acid+vitamin D group, with lipid droplet accumulation in a concentration-dependent manner. Vitamin D upregulated PPARγ, CD36, PGC-1α, and downregulated MTTP. It exacerbates lipid accumulation by promoting uptake and inhibiting efflux while protecting liver function. the transmembrane transport of long-chain fatty acids
